"The difficult is what takes a little time; the impossible is what takes a little longer," said Fridjof Nansen, the 1922 Nobel Peace Prize winner who personally organized the repatriation of more than four hundred thousand prisoners of war after World War I and helped save millions of Russians from starvation.

We Are More by Shane Koyczan

I thought that this is a great poem that defines Canada as multicultural and not just a big place that everyone thinks is cold or just a place to ski or snowboard. Or that Canada is more than a normal Country
I think that this poem is great because it descibes that Canadians don't just ice fish in hole in the ice, wearing parkas while saying "eh" after every sentence, but we are nothing like that, we are normal yet different in our own canadian way. So I think Shane is right about this and descibes Canada in a few, quick, minutes. :)

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Rhino, this does show what we are rather than what steryotypes say. but we still do snowboard and ski.
