These videos really showed a lot of facts about St.Andrew that I didn't know before. I never knew that St.Andrew never really set foot in scotland and that he was crucified on an X shaped cross and that cross was the foundation of the X shaped Scottish flag. I also didn't know that an angel told St.Rule to take St.Andrews bones to the edge of the earth but St.Rule got shipwrecked in a small settlement of Scotland.
i was amazed when i found out that Saint Andrew was crucified on an X like cross because he wasn't worthy of being crucified on a cross like Jesus even though he was one of Jesus's disciples.
I learned quite a few things due to this video and research, but I think I found the fact that he (St.Andrew) had never set foot in Scotland, but the cross he was crucified on was the inspiration for the cross on the Scottish flag. I guess it might represent being humble, yet strong. Which is a great thing to be represented as for a whole country.
I think it was interesting to learn a bit about the saint our school was named after. (at least, I assume this is the St.Andrew we were named after? He was an Apostle, and I haven't heard of an other St.Andrew...) Its kind of cool to learn about what your school was named after.
I learned that St. Andrew's is not only the patron saint for Scotand but also for Russia, Greece, and Romania. The Scotland flag has a cross on it and sodoes greece. As for the russian flag, it has a blue and white saltire which aso represents St. Andrew's.
i think that it is interesting that a monk was asked to take his bones to the far west. but my question is why? what is so special about the far west and what would happen if his bones got there. so i did some research and i found that the monk actully took a tooth an arm bone a kneecap and some fingers and that he was actully directed to take them to the ends of the earth.
The videos made me think about what most saints/religious people have to go through in their life time and even after their life time. Most of the saints were killed for their beliefs. It's funny because St.Andrews is very important to Scotland yet he never set foot in Scotland when he was living!

Andrew's connection with Scotland may have been reinforced following the Synod of Whitby, when the Celtic Church felt that Columba had been "outranked" by Peter and that Peter's brother would make a higher ranking patron.
The video shows how important St. Andrew is to Scotland and the way they appreciate him. The only reason that they know him is because of St. Regulus and when he shipwrecked. I wonder if anyone would have known St. Andrew if Regulus would have not been shipwrecked.

well i found out that Saint Andrew was the brother of Simon peter an apostle of Jesus. now i know why he believed in Christ so much. and i found that they even have the top part of his skill his small finger and other parts of him at Vatican city. some people have manuscripts of him one of them being at Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris. the other one is at the British library at London. Andrew is also the patron saint of the U.S. Army Rangers which is pretty cool.
