Commercials #4 and #5

Commercial #4 provides a style of communicating a message using music and the clever use of text.

How is it different then Commercial #5? List some of the differences that you noticed. Think of similarities to Commercial #4. How are they the same?

Be sure to talk about things like the effect of music, graphics, camera techniques and use of colour when you frame your thinking.

  1. In commercial #4, they use scary music when they have the bad things that happens but when they play the cheerful music it talks about the things they will change. The writing: It was fantastic! They used white on blue and orange and it just made the letters POP!

    In commercial #5, they had pictures of three pairs of shoes, 2 black and one orange. The two blacks stand for the PC party and the Liberal party. The orange one stands for NDP. Even though they are just three pairs of shoes on feet they mean a lot.

    A difference was:
    The first one talks about what they would change and the second one talks about the other two parties and what they disagree about the NDP.

    A similarity was:

    They both talk about what other parties have and what they do.
