More on Short Documentaries

I found the short on stick drumming that I wanted to share with you. Have a look. Let me know what you think of this style of informative film making.

This one on a bread bakery also held my interest. What do you think?

Okay, I admit that I am hooked on documentary shorts! Here is another one you simply must see. I seem drawn to the drawing aspect of this one. It held my interest even though it was jam packed with facts and dates. Because its content engaged both sides of my brain, I remembered the information.

One more to see by Dr. Documentary. Again, engaging both sides of the brain to teach information. Humour works well in helping to remember things too!

  1. I really liked the oxygen short film because it makes you think differently of the elements.

  2. Hello! after watching all of the documentaires, they were all very interesting and different in a unique way.

For the one called, Stick and Pound, it was very interesting how they used sticks to communicate to each other when no one knew what people were saying because they were all from different countries.
For the one called, Hot Bread Kitchen, I thought that it was really cool because when they got a job at the kitchen people could teach the other people types of bread that they learned from their country before they immigrated.
For the one called, A Brief History of Film, like you said was very different and it made me stick it into my head because of the way it was made: drawn with markers on a white board by hand and some parts typed.
Lastly, for the one about Oxygen, I liked how it was funny and scientific at the same time. Also, I like how they show what could happen if Oxygen and something else mixed or what happens when you have 1 oxygen and 2 hydrogen it makes water or H2O.

  3. I really enjoyed all of the videos. They were really imaginative.
Video 1 was a new sport for me. one day I really want to try that. The camera focused alot on the feet when they were showing us how it's done. They did mostly wide shots and one extreme close up which was nice.
Video 2 the bread one was very nice. That woman was nice setting up that shop to help immagrints. They did alot of camera angles too.
Video 3 I really like how they drew the picuters then sped them up. It was very different and must of took a long time to draw. It was all focused on the board in a wide shot and close up.
Video 4 this one was my favourite. it was the only one that was animated and it showed the things oxegen can turn into with adding something.

  5. hey!. I especially like the 4th one It was funny and it educated you for example i didn't know that 2 hydrogen and 1 oxegen makes h2o.

I also like the bread making one because i think it's cool she asked for a job because she wanted imagrints to have jobs.

The stick& pound one was really cool too because the lady said that it was a way for the slaves to communicate but they used corn.

The film video was interesting too because they sped up the drawing and writting while someone was talking!

I think the first one was kind of weird, but it showed tradition and beautiful music with no skill needed at all.

The second one showed a message of how people who look like they are gone, can get jobs and live a good life to. Like a good comeback.i like how they interviewed all the people and stuff.

The Third one was really interesting. i thought one person invented film but now i know it took years and years and years and years and etc. They really did this well.

The last one was HILARIOUS and it's really great how they teach you while entertaining you! thats my thoughts on the documentaries!

  7. I liked all of them. The stick and pound one was cool because they used the pound of the sticks to communicate. The brief history of film was amazing,it was cool how he drew everything that he talked aboutand that you don't really know who created film. The oxygen one was cool, the oxygen really killed iron, barium, hydrogen twice and the 2 hydrogens and 1 oxygen created water. He also made helium let go of the bar which made him float to the sky.

  8. Hey,guys! After watching these short DOCS,I have some comments about them.
For the 'Stick and Pound' one,I found it very interesting. It amazed me how the people created a whole new "language" for the slaves, and how people all over the world learned it.
For the 'Hot Bread Kitchen' one,I thought it was great how this woman, who didn't have to do this, started a new buisness. Not really for profit, but to help woman from other countrys get back on their feet. Also, when the chef said
"Most buisness's fail, most resturonts close..."I found that very interesting.
For the 'Brief History Of Film' DOC,I'd have to say it was my favorite.I thought it was really cool how they did it all in narrating and drawing, and sped it up so it didn't take to long.It was rather unique.
For 'Oxygen' one,I thought it was really cool.I liked how it was animated, and it was funny, too. It taught us about how oxygen mixes with other elements.
