"The difficult is what takes a little time; the impossible is what takes a little longer," said Fridjof Nansen, the 1922 Nobel Peace Prize winner who personally organized the repatriation of more than four hundred thousand prisoners of war after World War I and helped save millions of Russians from starvation.

Another Fiendishly Fierce Fermi!
WARNING: This Fiendishly Fierce Fermi Question Should Only be Attempted by the Bravest of the Brave !
Ignoring oceans, mountains and impossible conditions,
how long would it take to walk entirely around the world?
I'm glad that you are tackling the problem, but I think it is important to include some of your thinking in your responses.
For example, did you consider things like eating, sleeping and washroom breaks?
What is a reasonable amount of mileage (or should we say kilomerage) to walk in one day? Break your thinking down into parts to show how you arrived at your final outcome.
Tomorrow, you will be asked to demonstrate your steps so we can best determine whose justified guess best fits the problem.
Hmmm ... Let's see. What questions do I need to ask to point in the right direction for a justified guess?
